Recently I was interviewed for radio station WYEP’s poetry
show, Prosody. The show will air this
Saturday, November 3, at 6:00 A.M Eastern time. Yes, that’s 6:00
A.M. Unfortunately, the poetry show is shunted
into a crazy time-slot, but if for some reason you happen to be up at that hour on Saturday
morning, you can listen live, either on the airwaves or by streaming it through the
internet. Start with this page, and
there’s a link there to their live feed.
In the interview, I talk a lot about the new collection, Future Blues, and read poems from that
book and the earlier Ancestor Worship. If you can’t listen live, the episode will
eventually be available to download as a podcast, though I understand there is
a short delay in getting those podcasts up.
So, poetry on the radio at 6:00 A.M. (That’s 11:00 A.M. Irish time, though.)
